Our Story
Jamie Kvittem believes the earth is a wondrous playground for everyone to explore and celebrate. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jamie blends her professional background in high-tech, clean-tech, and sustainable design with a lifelong love for the outdoors. Her connection to nature took root early on. Growing up in the country in Rosemount, Minnesota, she liked to spend her summer days playing in the woods, collecting agates, picking strawberries and performing made-up plays. This bond is best captured by a favorite memory from her "golden birthday," when her wish was for a willow tree. As that tree grew tall and strong, it became a symbol of the imagination and growth she champions today. This creative spark eventually led her back to a character she first envisioned while studying sustainability: Earthy.
Earthy is a lovable, relatable character created for all ages—a friendly guide to a more balanced, sustainable lifestyle. Jamie’s work focuses on helping us all find a joyful harmony between "screen-time" and "green-time," encouraging a healthy rhythm between our modern digital lives and the natural world.
With Earth Day celebrated in over 190 countries, Jamie hopes that welcoming Earthy into our lives will spark a greater sense of mindfulness. By treating every day like Earth Day, we can build meaningful traditions that celebrate ourselves, each other and the Earth for years to come.
